Welcome to the Wittfest 2009 Charity Music Festival web site

Big yellow signs saying "NO ACCESS TO FESTIVAL" refer to the Children's Food festival at The Northmoor Trust Farm, Little Wittenham.

Unless you are going there you can safely ignore them.

This year sees the tenth (count them! 10!) annual Wittenham Free Charity Music Festival, in the grounds of the Plough Inn, Long Wittenham, near Didcot, Oxfordshire - the friendliest, most enjoyable, eclectic and entertaining small festival anywhere. click here Wittfest Video Clips for some clips from previous years to whet your appetite! Click here to see some of the acts that will be performing!

Last year, the festival raised £2,344 - again an increase on the year before. The total was divided equally between local charities, Helen & Douglas House Hospices, and Against Breast Cancer who received cheques for £1,167 each.

So many thanks to everyone who came along and bought programmes, T-shirts, hats, badges; put money in the tins; performed for free; stewarded; ran stalls/made tea; and also, of course, to our supporters and sponsors who make Wittfest possible - especially, in 2009, Paul Simmonds Removals and London St Brasserie.

Wittfest is a free music festival raising money for local charities. Everybody involved gives their time (and raffle prizes!) for free. There is a wide range of musical genres on offer and plenty of opportunity to join in with all of the themed sessions throughout the festival weekend.

The festival starts on the Friday evening and runs until late Sunday afternoon. ADMISSION IS FREE, but programmes will be on sale, and we need people to buy lots of raffle tickets, badges, hats and shirts or simply give donations so we can support our chosen charities.

This year, the charities elected to receive our support are Age Concern Oxfordhire: Singing For Health & Fun and Pets As Therapy .

We have a children's play area and, being situated in the grounds of a riverside pub, loads of food and drink to hand! There will also be a second-hand bookstall, tombola, and Mrs Lomax's famous tea tent.

It's no wonder that previous visitors to Wittfest have declared it the best small festival they have ever been to!

The website is currently undergoing some development so some of the content may not yet be complete but we'll soon have the latest details of the wonderful music in store.
